This is a list of the Squadron Officers & staff of No.18 Squadron and the roles they play.
Squadron Leader Matt Long
Cadet Unit Commander
SQNLDR Long is responsible for the overall running of the unit, and co-ordinates between the unit and the support committee, New Zealand Cadet Forces and other outside organisations. SQNLDR Long manages a team of officers who run the Squadron. Outside ATC SQNLDR Long is a father of 3 and a company director.

Flight Lieutenant Craig Walecki
Executive Officer / NZCF Aviation Officer
FLTLT Walecki is the second in charge at the Squadron with delegated powers to run the unit in the Unit Commanders absence. FLTLT Walecki is involved in a lot of project work for the unit, with one of the main tasks being organising and managing the Squadron's flying activities. FLTLT Walecki is also the National Aviation Officer for the New Zealand Cadet Forces. FLTLT Walecki is a father and a commercial pilot.

Flight Lieutenant Andrew Henderson
Adjutant
FLTLT Henderson is the unit Adjutant and has responsibility for the unit administration and logistics, and also the unit discipline. FLTLT Henderson is a father of 1, and is a registered nurse & trained teacher working at Christchurch Public Hospital

Flying Officer Carolyn Green
Training Officer
FGOFF Green is holds one of the busiest positions in the unit being responsible for the training programme. This includes the nightly activities and weekend activities. FGOFF Green is a registered teacher teaching at the secondary school level.

Flying Officer Mitchell Leaman
Assistant Training Officer
FGOFF Leaman is responsible for camps and activities that the unit runs in the weekend. He is a keen tramper and takes the cadets away for regular weekends in the bush. PLTOFF Leaman is a qaulified structural engineer working in town.

Pilot Officer Courtenay Nimmo
Assistant Adjutant
PLTOFF Nimmo helps in the running of the Squadron's adjutants office. PLTOFF Nimmo is a university student studying at Canterbury University.

Pilot Officer Ben Snalam
Training Staff
PLTOFF Snalam is the most recently commissioned officer in the unit and he helps in running actvities in the squadron training office. PLTOFF Snalam is also an engineering student at Canterbury University.
