Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 3:42PM No.18 Squadron were kindly invited by Lt. Col. R. Wellington to have a tour through a C-17 Globemaster on Sunday 6th Dec. This was a fantastic tour with the Officers and NCO's of the crew on hand to provide information on the aircraft
Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 8:16PM On the 5th December, 18 Sqn successfully competed for the annual Jock Turner Shooting Trophy between Canterbury/Westland District ATC units. The 2009 competition had teams from the 3 Christchurch Sqn's (18, 17, 38) and 36 (Greymouth) Sqn compete at the Bangor Street Rifle Range using the standard Wallingford format.
18 Sqn outscored the rest with a total of 415 with top scorer CPL Queen shooting a 78.

Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 7:12PM Coming up this Friday is the inter-unit theatre sports competiton. This is set to be a battle of what will hopefully be witty improvised comedy between 18 (Avon) Squadron and 17 (City of Christchuch) Squadron.
